Wilda Thompson

Wilda F. Thompson, 92, of Amanda, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born March 13, 1932 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Merrill and Eva McBroom.

She was a tremendous cookie baker. Wilda was a member of the Clearport United Church of Christ.

Survived by her children, Christiann (Ron)Kalise, of Winter Haven, FL, and Edwin Thompson, of Amanda; son-in-law, John Smith, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Brandon (Karrie) Stroup, Karen (Jeff) Morris, Amy Thompson, and Bobbi Ausmus; great grandchildren, Kaylee and Jackson Morris; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; daughter, Juliann Smith; infant grandson Damon Alan; "brother", Herb Hanaway; sisters, Marge Miller and Carol Bates.

Funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, November 9 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda, with Pastor Marilin Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville. Friends may call from 4pm until 7pm on Friday, November 8 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fairhope Hospice and Pickering House.

The family would like to thank Bob and Janet Zaayer, Peggy Bigham, Stacy Byers, Sue Morrison, Fairhope Hospice, and The Pickering House.
