Walter L. Miller

   Walter L. Miller, age 93 of Lancaster, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Pickering House surrounded by his loving family. Walter was born April 11, 1928 to the late Edward and Ada (Krile) Miller in Sugar Grove. He worked at Anchor Hocking for 36 years as a production planner and belonged to Redeemer Lutheran Church for many years. He loved reading the Bible with his wife, but most of all he loved all of his family with all of his being. He never met a stranger and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

   Walter is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, June (Carroll) (Yantez) Miller; son, Steven Miller; daughter, Susan (Fred) Lamb, all of Lancaster; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Pearl, Robert, Donald and Carol “Toots” Miller; sister, Mabel Ison; first wife and mother of his children, Eloise (Green) Miller.

   Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda, with Pastor Jack Davidson officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Fairhope Hospice.
