Vaughn R. Strickler

Vaughn R. Strickler, 62, formerly of Amanda, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Rescare Wellington in Wellington, Ohio. He was born May 13, 1953 in Circleville and was the son of the late Elvin and Helen (Pontious) Strickler. Vaughn was a lifetime farmer in the Amanda area.
He is survived by a sister, Diane (James) Rhymer of Stoutsville; brothers, Virgil (Kim) Strickler of Lakeview and Jeff (Libby) Strickler of Pickerington and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Jean (Miller) Strickler.
Friends and family may call from 10:00 a.m until noon at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda on Saturday, July 25, 2015. A private grave side service will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery with Chaplain Jim Ferrell to officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the A-C FFA Program in Vaughn’s memory.
