Dale Tackett

Timothy "Dale" Tackett, age 55 of Chillicothe, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Kobacker House in Columbus. He was born July 12, 1967, in Portsmouth, the son of Lou E. (Taylor) Lloyd, of Circleville and the late Thomas E. Tackett. Dale was a truck driver for many years and most recently started "Tackett Brothers Pallett and Hauling" with his brother. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, bowling, and muscle cars. His greatest love was to be a "Papals" to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sonja (Locklear) Tackett; children, Lisara (Adam) Cool, of Chillicothe, Skylar (Timothy Barnes) Prentice, of Amanda, D'Kasey (Jade) Tackett, of Lucasville, and Daeden Tackett, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Isla and Willow Barnes, Bellamy and D'Kasey Tackett, and Everly Cool; brother, Thomas (Jackie) Tackett, of Athens; mother, Lou E. Lloyd, of Circleville; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda with James Taylor officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
