Steven L. Friesner

Steven L. Friesner, age 69 of Rushville, was received into the arms of Jesus on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1952, in Lancaster, the son of Paul E. Friesner Sr. and Anna Catherine "Kate" (Tucker) Friesner-Hickman. He was a graduate of Fairfield Union High School, class of 1970. He attended Capital University and then earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Ohio University. Steve taught and coached for 35 years in the Fairfield Union District. He was a member of the New Life Christian Center in Lancaster. He loved camping, motorcycles and attending his grandchildren's events.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia (Benadum) Friesner; children, Kelly (Jon) Romer, of Celina, Ryan (Katrina) Friesner, of Delaware, and Nicholas (Cassie) Friesner, of Pickerington; grandchildren, Matthieu, Grace, Hope, Keagan, Isla, Evie, and Noah; two brothers, a half-sister and one step sister; nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; his step mother, Treva Friesner; step father, Robert Hickamn; and his twin brother, Stewart L. Friesner.

A private graveside service for his family was conducted at Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery, Colfax with Pastor Gary Keller officiating. Arrangements were in the care of Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda.
