Ruth Sanders (Ellis) Wilson

Ruth Wilson, age 95, originally of Lancaster, OH, passed away in Buford, GA at her daughter’s home on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

She was retired, enjoying her children and grandchildren. Ruth loved passing the time reading and listening to her granddaughter (Aubrey) sing. She and her husband Richard “Dick” Wilson ran Waverly Mobile Home Sales in Waverly, OH until her husband’s death in 1995. Ruth was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville, OH.

She is survived by one son, Warren (Sara) Ellis of St. Clairsville, OH; two daughters, Renee (Karl) Wicker of Lawrenceville, GA and Rebecca Edenfield of Buford, GA; five grandchildren, Tessa (Jose) Martinez of Pickerington, OH, Ruth Aubrey Peat of Duluth, GA, Elaine Edenfield of Brooklyn, NY, Tim Edenfield, and Jeremy Edenfield of Marietta, GA; two great-granddaughters, Sophia and Maria Martinez; two sisters, Mary Anne Theller and Martha (Bob) Snoke of Lancaster, OH; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard “Dick” Wilson; her parents Hollis Wayne and Gladys (Dupler) Sanders; her brothers Scott, Lloyd, and Neil Sanders.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, 111 W. Main St., Amanda, OH. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be for the immediate family at Union Cemetery in St Clairsville on Monday.

In memory of Ruth, guests are encouraged to wear her favorite color, blue.
