Ruth Campbell

Ruth Elizabeth Campbell, age 90, of Amanda, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Fairfield Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was born on February 17, 1933, the daughter of Isaac & Lottie (Boggs) Cordle. She was hard working and extremely devoted to her faith and family. Her butterscotch pies and potato salad will be greatly missed by all!

She is survived by her daughter and best friend, Lora Campbell; daughter-in-law, Kathy Campbell; grandson, Scott Campbell; granddaughter, Terri (Bill) Carr; all of Amanda; sister, Sue Blackston of Lima; sister, Delores Rumor of Circleville; and several nieces and nephews. As well as her beloved cat, Sammy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Campbell and son, Donald Campbell.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Amanda Township Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Clearcreek Township Fire Department for their quick and caring response. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make memorial contributions to the Clearcreek Township Firefighters Association, 11042 Main Street, Stoutsville, Ohio, 43154.
