Roverta "Gert" Underwood

Roverta "Gert" Underwood, age 86, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the Pickering House. She was born on May 23, 1938, in Amanda, to the late Levi and Alice Harmon. She was a graduate of Amanda High School, class of 1956. Gert worked for many years at Kenny's Restaurant in Lancaster. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Tina) Underwood, of Newark; granddaughter, Princess Underwood; grandson, Prince Underwood; sisters, Sue Harmon and Lucinda (Mark) Wetzel; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry; eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2024, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Interment will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
