Robert Stone

Robert J. "Bob" Stone, age 66, of Stoutsville, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at OhioHealth Berger Hospital in Circleville. He was born August 8, 1956, in Lancaster, the son of the late Herb and Edna Stone. He was a graduate of Lancaster High School, class of 1974. He retired from GE in Circleville with over 25 years of service. Bob loved to golf and was an avid reader. He enjoyed cars and motorcycles and fixing up the family homestead. Most importantly, he was the best dad and grandpa one could ask for.

He is survived by his children, Ashleigh Gloyd, of Stoutsville, Seth (Jenae) Stone, of Lancaster, and Victoria (Brody) Polt, of Stoutsville; six grandchildren with two more on the way; brothers, Don and Bill Stone, both of Lancaster. He is preceded in death by his parents; son in law, Nathan Gloyd.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, 111 W. Main St., Amanda. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
