Robert Queen

Robert (Bob) Queen, 61 of Lancaster Ohio passed away June 1, 2023. Robert was born in Lancaster Ohio to Norman and Lillian Queen. He grew up with three brothers, Danny, Donny and Ronny. Bob spent his professional life as an auditor of retail inventories. He started working for companies at an early age and then transitioned into opening his own audit company (BC Inventory) which is still running as a very successful company.

Bob had many passions in life but none more than his two children. Ashley Schmelzer (32) and Bob Queen (28) were always his pride and joy in life. He was very passionate about his hobbies and incorporated his children into his hobbies which led to very rewarding memories with his children. Bob loved to garden and always had a garden every summer plus a peach and apple orchard. Every summer his children would help him plant, grow, fertilize, spray and harvest his crops which he sold at the Lancaster farmers market. The conversations and fun we had doing this with Dad will always be treasured. We learned a lot about life while having our fun in the garden. We will definitely miss walking the garden/orchard and talking about the fruits/vegetables and how are day went. Both children played in marching band for Berne Union and he was always our biggest supporter at competitions and would always brag about how great our band did at competitions.

Bob loved to fish and hunt and held a special bond with his son who enjoyed it as much as Bob. Any free time he had you would find him fishing or hunting with his son. His daughter moved to Columbus in 2015 and Bob would always find one hour each night of the week to call just to talk about their days.

Bob was an amazing teacher, father, and friend to both his children, and he dearly loved them. He always had a story to tell and a new friend to make. We love you Dad and will truly miss you daily.

A time for family and friends to visit will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Cremation will follow the visitation.
