Randy Lee, age 67 of Amanda, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, at his residence. He was born December 20, 1954, in Lancaster, the son of the late George R. and Mary C. (McGee) Lee Hamilton. Randy was a member of the Amanda Christian Church and the Amanda Masonic Lodge #509, F. & A. M. for over 25 years. He was also a 25-year member of the Chain Crew at Fairfield Union, enjoyed running the clock at Amanda Clearcreek where he was also a substitute bus driver, and he loved to watch football. He enjoyed time spent as a member of the Buckeye Lake Eagles Lodge #2801, the Moose Lodge, and Sons Member of the American Legion #283 in Pickerington. Randy was well known in the area as Santa Claus for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Lancaster Parks and Recreation, as well as several area churches and other private groups. Randy was retired from Lancaster Bingo with 25 years of service and he loved spending time at the Fair visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo (Staten) Lee; children: Nicholas (Britney) Lee and Jordan (Lindsay) Lee, both of Amanda; grandchildren, Demi, Camden, Cooper, Hannah, and Hallie Jo; sisters, Vickie George, of Zanesville and Teri (Dan) Hunt, of Pleasantville; brothers: Kim Hamilton, of Arizona and Todd Hamilton, of Lancaster; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2022, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda with Pastor John King officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where a Masonic Service will be held at 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Randy Lee Memorial Fund, c/o Kingston National Bank, P.O. Box 248, Amanda, OH 43102. The Memorial Fund will be directed by Randy’s family to benefit youth activities in our community.
