Richard E. Luck, age 92 of Lancaster passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Summit’s Trace Healthcare Center in Columbus. He was born June 16, 1928 in Fairfield County, the son of the late Edwin G. and Lucille (Warner) Luck. Richard worked for many years at Huddles and then retired from the Lancaster City Schools Maintenance Department. He was a longtime member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He loved fiddling with cars and tractors of all kinds.
He is survived by his wife of almost 66 years, Norma “Kay” (Chesser) Luck; son, Matt (Sandy) Luck, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Dale Luck, of Bowling Green and Caitlyn Luck, of Lancaster; brother, David (Marie) Luck, of Amanda; sister, Mae Evelyn Woodward, of Amanda; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl “Bill” and Frank “Sonny” Luck.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Interment will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Nelsonville. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. The funeral may also be viewed live at the funeral home’s Facebook page. In accordance with State mandates, COVID Protocols including facial coverings and social distancing will be followed.
