In Loving Memory of Renae Arlene Valentine Culbertson, 70, of Stoutsville, Born December 15, 1954 to Amos G Valentine and Florence M Valentine.
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Renae Arlene Valentine Culbertson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who went home to be with our Lord and savior on December 18, 2024. Renae was a graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School Class of 1973. A cherished Organist and Member of St. John Church in Stoutsville, where she played every Sunday. Her music was not just a gift to the congregation but an expression of her deep love for God. In addition to her faith, Renae had a passion for life's simple joys, including her love for animals and her enthusiasm for cars. Whether caring for her beloved feline companions or admiring classic cars, she found happiness in the little things that made her world unique. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed hiking up Mount Pleasant in Lancaster.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth (Kenny) Culbertson; parents Amos G. Valentine and Florence M. Valentine; brothers, Randy Valentine and Roger Valentine; sisters, Rosemary Picklesimer and Rita Peters. She is survived by her sister Ruth Ann Brobst; daughter, Angie (Brian) Thaxton; grandson, Austin Thaxton and granddaughter, Erin (Drew) Feinman; close nieces, Debbie Ellex and Lindsay (Jeremiah) Smith, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Though we grieve her sudden departure, we take comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of the Lord she so faithfully served, her music now joining the heavenly choir.
