Raymond Russell

Raymond H. "Buck" Russell, age 85 of Circleville, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at his residence. He was born June 28, 1938, in Pickaway County, the son of the late Claude and Rena (Craig) Russell. He was a graduate of Walnut Township High School, class of 1956 and then served in the US Air Force. He retired from DuPont in Circleville after 35 years of service. He served many years as a member of the Pickaway County Fair Board. Raymond was a longtime member and Elder of Frontline Church of God in Amanda. He and a group from Frontline, volunteered to help with the cleanup from Hurricane Katrina. He gave cookies to people wherever he went, baking well over four million in his lifetime Cookie Ministry. He loved woodworking, leaving his legacy in work that he completed at the Church. He was always eager to help encourage the youth to come to Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Robin Wolfe, of Amanda and Jodelle (Dan Brady) Craddock, of Circleville; grandchildren, Meagan Silva, Hunter (Mikayla Barker) and Maxx (Clara Whitman) Wolfe; great grandchildren, Mallory Wolfe, and Ivan and Kai Wolfe; sisters, Peggy Miller, of Circleville, Marie Parry, of Amanda, and Margie Rader, of Circleville; 110 nieces and nephews; close friend, Mike Runyon, of Circleville. He is preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and five sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2023, at Frontline Church of God, 5195 Amanda Northern Rd., Amanda, with Pastor Chris Hildenbrand officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Jackson Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Frontline Church of God.
