R. Elaine Hampshire

R. Elaine Hampshire, 68, of Circleville, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at Berger Hospital. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 5, 1949 to the late Robert and Ruth (Kuhn) Turvey.  She was a 1968 graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School and devoted her life as a homemaker, wife and mother.  A loving grandmother to her grandchildren and will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 47 years, David E. Hampshire, daughter, Stephanie (Eric) Lauerman; six grandchildren, Kelsey Lauerman (fiancé Robert Madden), Chelsey and Brandi Lauerman, Samm (Jodie Warren) Marion, Taylor (fiancé Jake Hall) Marion and Kaylee Marion; great grandchildren, Chloe and Leelynd; sisters, Rebecca (Jim) Dixon, and Rita Morrison; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Hampshire, and brother-in-law, Aldo Morrison. 
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Dan Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Hitler Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
