Myrtie M. Foster, 82, of Amanda, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at Pickaway Manor Nursing Home in Circleville. She was born on December 22, 1933 in Groveport and was the daughter of the late Wayne and Mary (Cromley) Brown. Myrtie was a 1951 graduate of Walnut Twp. Schools. She grew up farming and after marrying Robert Foster Sr. in 1953 continued helping him with the farming duties. She was a cook for Stoutsville and Amanda-Clearcreek Schools and retired after 26 years of service.
Myrtie is survived by her children, Robert (Judy) Foster, Jr. of Hebron, Russ (Linda) Foster of Stoutsville, Rick (Becky) Foster and Renae (Barry) Logsdon both of Amanda; grandchildren, Matthew Foster, Jenna McCormick, Ryan and Ralston Foster, Ricky and Adam Foster and Desirae Logsdon; ten great grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Brown of Reynoldsburg and Darlene Strawser of Canal Winchester. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Russell Foster; seven brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Jeff Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Reber Hill Cemetery in Ashville. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions be made to Heartland Hospice, 116 Morris Rd., Circleville, Ohio 43113 in Myrtie's memory.
