Minnie E. Picklesimer Laube, 87, of Amanda, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Lanfair Center. She was born December 5, 1926 in Louisa, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late George W. and Bertha L. (Muncy) Clevenger. Minnie was a hairdresser in the Amanda area for many years.
She is survived by a son, Steve (Jan) Picklesimer of Amanda and a daughter, Sharon (Ron) Smith of Mt. Gilead; grandchildren, Christina (Andrew) Sinclair and Melissa Moss both of Marengo, Ryan (Keisha) Picklesimer and John (Brandy) Picklesimer both of Amanda; nine great grandchildren; sister, Mary Caylor of New Lexington and several nieces and nephews including special niece and nephew Brenda Blanton and John Straley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Picklesimer and Lewis Laube and five brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Dutch Hollow Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family would like contributions to made to Alzheimer's Association National Office, 225 N.
