Margaret H. Young, 94, of Amanda, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 at LanFair. She was born February 25, 1917 in Fairfield County and was the daughter of the late William Henry and Lola Maewood (Baker) Hoffman. She was a member of Israel Lutheran Church at Dutch Hollow, Missionary Guild and Euchre Club.
She is survived by three sons, Jack (Judy) Young of Amanda, Richard (Marsha) Young of Westerville and Darrell (Dona) Young of Lancaster; daughter, Linda Young of Thornville; grandchildren, Jim and Jon Young, Deana (Scott) Dupler, Danel (Jeff) Couch, Tara (Rocky) Roark, Matthew (Ciera) Young and Marisa (Michael) Benedetti; great grandchildren, Ashton, Grant and Lauren Dupler, Parker, Caroline, Kennedy and Jackson Couch, Cody, Katie, Colten, Owen and Grace Roark, Cadance Young and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Young; brother, William Hoffman and sisters, Sally Johnson and Florence Baker.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. at Israel Lutheran Church at Dutch Hollow with Pastor Beth Bateson officiating. Burial will be in Dutch Hollow Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
The family suggests contributions be made to Israel Lutheran Church in Margaret's memory.
