Mrs. Louise M. Blankenship

Louise M. Blankenship, 92, of Amanda, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Pickering House. She was born December 15, 1918 in Buffalo, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late John Oscar and Grace (Oldaker) McCoy.
Louise is survived by her children, David (Threassa) McCoy of Florida, Norma Lucas and Lucille (Michael) Alley both of Lancaster; grandchildren, Mark, Billy, Barbra, Regina (Jeff) Dotson, Teresa (Paul) Jansons, David (Kathy) Smith, Cindy (Scott) Bortz and Sandra (Mike) Stevens; sixteen great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren; sisters, Vernabell Blankenship of Lancaster and Betty Higginbotham of West Virginia; brother, Phil McCoy of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William O. Blankenship; brothers, Bob, Jim, Junior and Billy McCoy and sisters, Maxine Hettinger and Mary Frances McCoy.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda. Burial will be in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
