Mrs. Joanne VanGundy

Joanne VanGundy, 78, of Tarlton, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Pickering House. She was born January 28, 1932 in Circleville and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ethel (Bloomfield) Jacobs. Joanne was a member of the Tarlton United Methodist Church and was a meat cutter at the Tarlton Market for many years.
She is survived by five sons, Danny (Elizabeth) VanGundy of Tarlton, Dale VanGundy of Logan, Dave (Cheryl) VanGundy of Laurelville, Doug (Donna) VanGundy and Dwight VanGundy both of Tarlton; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria (Bob) VanGundy and Jane Jacobs both of Circleville and Marilyn (Joe) Norris of Columbus. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James VanGundy; son, Dean VanGundy and brother, Ronald Jacobs.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Rev. Angel Crowell officiating. Burial will follow in Tarlton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family would like contributions be made to the Pickering House in Joanne's memory.
