Mrs. Esther P. Griffith

Esther P. Griffith, 89, of Lancaster, formerly a life long resident of Amanda, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Lanfair.
She was born January 12, 1924 in Fairfield County and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Goldie Irene (Shaeffer) Hedrick.
She was a former Amanda Twp. Fire Dept. Auxiliary Member.
She is survived by her children, Wanda (Harry) Poston and Ron (June) Griffith both of Lancaster; five grandsons, Graig (Sharon) Poston, Garry (Sue) Poston, Bart (Tara) Poston, Kenny (Michelle) Griffith and Kevin Griffith all of Lancaster; 12 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and two on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Griffith; brothers, Glenn, Charles and Donald Hedrick; sister, Opal Vance and Lillian Hedrick.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Rev. David Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her extended family, friends and Dr. Sielski at Lanfair for their care and concern for Esther during her stay. The family would like contributions to be made to FairHope hospice in Esther's memory.
