Debbra K. Diaz, 51, of Amanda, passed away Saturday, Mar. 6, 2010 at Berger Hospital. She was born July 13, 1958 in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Homer "Barney" Bigham and Bette I. (Harmon) Bigham. Debbra was a 26 year veteran in the U.S. Air Force where she was employed as a logistics supervisor. She attained the rank of Chief Msgt. She served in Spain, Germany and Azores Island (off the coast of Africa). She also served at Chanute AFB in Illinois, Nellis AFB in Nevada, Andrews AFB in Maryland and Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton. She also participated in the Gideons International.
She is survived by her husband, Martin F. Diaz; son, Martin L. Diaz of Columbus; daughter, Carol A. Diaz of Amanda; sisters, Charlotte Riser of Bremen, Rita Osborn, Carol (Robert) Minnard and Penny (Carl) Blosser all of Lancaster, Dale (Jeff) Lutz of Amanda; brother, Daniel Bigham of Circleville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Larry Bigham, Henry "Hank" Bigham and Terry Bigham and a sister, Donna Bigham.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Hildenbrand officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery where military honors will be provided by AMVETS Post #2256 of Circleville. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
