Mr. Walter R. VanGundy

Walter R. "Dick" VanGundy, Age 70 of Stoutsville. Passed away Sunday at Berger Hospital. He was born December 21, 1941 to the late Walter and Margaret (Pontious) VanGundy. He was Veteran of the United States Army, and retired from Sonoco Paper. He is survived by wife Sharon (Seesholtz) Vangundy, sons Rick (Tammy) VanGundy of Tarlton, and Clint VanGundy of Stoutsville. Grandchildren Amber and Josh, sisters Sally Huffer and Kay VanGundy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Lonnie VanGundy. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Tarlton Cemetery with Military Honors provided by AMVETS Post #2256. Family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
