Mr. Ricky Dale Mayes
January 8, 1964 — October 5, 2013
Ricky D. Mayes, 49, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center. Ricky was a 1983 graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School and following his generous nature, he gave the gift of sight by donating his eyes to the Ohio Lions Eye Bank.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Saundra Lovelace of Georgia; brothers, David (Jennifer) Conrad and John (Jeanette) Newell both of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Beth Conrad of Lancaster; his best friend, Ike Sowers and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Conrad; step father, Daniel Lovelace and brother, Mike Conrad.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda is in charge of the arrangements.
