McKenzie "Joe" Abram, 27, of Amanda, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, May 17, 2012. Joe was born Jan. 17, 1985 in Lancaster and was the son of William "Bill" and Venus (McKenzie) Abram, who survive. He was a 2003 graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School and currently employed as a salesman at S & J Auto in Lancaster.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Summer McKenzie of Amanda and Crystal (T.J. Spohn) Abram of Corning; three nephews, Seth, Dalton and Blaze; grandmothers, Berdine Flowers of Lancaster and Phyllis McKenzie of Amanda and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Samuel Abram and Bill McKenzie.
Joe was a natural athlete who gave 110% in everything he did. He loved to fish, hunt mushrooms and any outdoor sport. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Amanda United Methodist Church.
