Edwin Keith Smith, 91, of Trenton, Florida, passed away March 18, 2014 at Haven Hospice in Chiefland, Florida. He was born April 10, 1922 in Fairfield County and was the son of the late Charles Edwin and Gertrude Irene (Vickers) Smith. Keith was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in WW II, member of the VFW and formerly an owner/operator truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Lorena Mae (Saunders) Smith; son, David (Kate) Smith of Springboro; daughters, Cheryl (David) Tucker of Lancaster and Rhonda (Greg) Ludwick of Amanda; step daughter, Rebecca Conway of Grove City; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Smith of Stoutsville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Smith.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Circleville where military honors will be provided by AMVETS Post #2256. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
