Mr. Daniel J. Shukys

Daniel J. Shukys, 31, died early Monday morning. He is survived by his Mother and Stepfather, Jane and John Chumley of Stoutsville, Father, Joe Shukys of Las Vegas, NV, Sister, Sarah Shukys of Stoutsville, Brother, Jon S. Daily of South Shore, KY and Niece Abigail Rittinger and Nephew Jon L. Daily. Dan struggled with addictions and won several battles but lost his final war. Dan will be remembered as a unique, interesting, humorous guy. He had pride in his work at Waffle House and enjoyed the people he met there. His family, many friends and customers will surely miss his winning ways.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Rev. Marilin Miller officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
