Aaron Jay Wagner, age 48, passed away March 2, 2011. He was born January 21, 1963 in Zanesville, OH. He attended West Muskingum High School through his freshman year then his family moved to Crestwood , KY. There, he graduated from Oldham County High School in 1981. He went on to diesel mechanic school in Indianapolis, where he graduated two years later. In 1983 he was hired by Bob Evans Farms as a diesel mechanic for their fleet vehicles. This is the only company for whom Aaron worked, as he worked his way up to Ohio Transportation Manager.
Aaron touched many lives at work and at home. He enjoyed working on anything that involved a motor, including a short stint with a NASCAR team where he volunteered his services just because he loved the thrill of being involved with the best of the best in the universe of professional engine mechanics.
He was always fast to offer his help wanting nothing in return, he had a smile for everyone, and he was witty and jovial, always making whoever he was with feel as though they had known him all their lives. He was loved and will be missed dearly by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Jenny, his children Tonya Sheets, Jason Wagner, and Wendy Wagner, his grandchildren Neveah Grace and Ryan Wagner, his parents Bill and Marlene Wagner, his brothers Chris Wagner, Barry Wagner, Kyle Wagner, and Tom Yourke, as well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
