Maxine Kennedy

Maxine Kennedy, 94, formerly of Amanda, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Lanfair Center.  She was born March 14, 1924 in Scioto county and was the daughter of the late Ross and Hazel (Hoffman) Dick.  Maxine was a member of Central Church of Christ in Portsmouth and attended  Amanda Presbyterian Church.  She was a former teletype operator for Western Union in Portsmouth and a legal secretary for Franklin Gerlach in Portsmouth.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, David Crawford and Kermit Kennedy.
A funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.  Burial will follow in Wheelersburg, Ohio.  Friend may visit from 10:30 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
