Mary J. Scarberry, 86, of Columbus, passed away December 15, 2017 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born on September 15, 1931 in Laurelville, OH to the late Alton and Irene (Julian) Hunt, Sr.
Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Scarberry; daughters, Karen (Felipe) Cortesano of Columbus, Diane Felcyn, Connie (Mike) Sydoryk, Deborah (Mike) Dominguez, and Patricia (Kevin) Enders all of Illinois, 21 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; sisters, Connie (Glen) Hardbarger, Betty (Bernard) Lindsey, Phyllis (Gene) Eichhorn, Doris (Edward) McClure, and Kay Pena; brother, Charles (Carolyn) Hunt; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Cosentino; brothers, Richard and Ted.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Tarlton Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, two hours prior to service from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or at www.stjude.org in Mary’s memory.
