Marjorie McCormick

Marjorie Lee "Marge" McCormick, age 82 of Lancaster, Ohio entered into her heavenly home on December 29, 2022. Born March 12, 1940, in Amanda, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Lorain F. Denney and Irene L. (Lindsey) Denney.

Marjorie was a 1958 graduate of Amanda High School and dedicated member of the Ohio University Lancaster family, where she retired from maintenance after over 25 years of service. She also worked for Ohio Bell as a telephone operator for nine years. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Church of Christ in Clearport. Marjorie was known for her love of cooking, baking and flower gardening.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Everett McCormick; one daughter, Kendra A. McCormick of Amanda; one son, John S. (Amy) McCormick of Amanda; three grandchildren, Kayla Lowry and Emily and Cody McCormick; two sisters, Helen Heskett and Evelyn Walters-Reed.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 on January 4, 2023 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home in Amanda with Rev. Chris Hildenbrand officiating. Burial will follow in Amanda Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held January 3 from 4-7 p.m. and January 4 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
