Marion "Richard" Pittman

Marion "Richard" Pittman, age 82, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at his residence. He was born February 3, 1939, in Logan, son of the late Truman Pittman and Velma (Cox) Nicolia. He was retired from Lancaster Electro Plating with over 30 years of service. He attended the Amanda United Methodist Church where he was active with his wife in the "Lunch Bunch" and the chair volleyball games. He loved watching old scary movies and game shows, especially "Jeopardy" with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Marlena (Shawn) Herron, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Eric, Hannah, Jeremiah, Alydia, Luke, Angel, Elijah, and Micaiah Herron, all of Lancaster; siblings, Henry (Mary) Pittman, of Junction City, Kevin (Jackie) Pittman, of Lancaster, Mike Pittman, of Junction City, Jeff Pittman, of Junction City, Zelma (David) Severance, of New Straitsville, Joyce (Edward) Moore, of Somerset, and Truman (Joanne Krejci) Pittman, of Somerset; many nieces and nephews; special extended family, Ira (Nancy) Mowery, Donna Mowery, Melanie Mowery, and Linda Mowery, all of Mt. Vernon. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, of 50 years, Marlyn (Hines) Pittman; siblings, Walter Pittman, Augusta Cox, Lester Pittman, Judy Cox, James Pittman, and Roger Pittman.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda with Pastor Gerald Mershimer officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The funeral may also be viewed live at the funeral home's Facebook page.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Richard was a wonderful man who made all feel welcomed, always had a smile on his face. He Loved out Lord Jesus with all his heart and is with Him now in heaven. He will be missed by many.
