Margaret M. Gardner

Margaret M. “Peg” Gardner, 63, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center.   She was born August 6, 1953 in Logan and was the daughter of the late Warren and Elsie (Barr) Gardner.  Peg was a graduate of Lancaster High School and furthered her education at Hocking Tech.  She worked at Tri-County Physicians for several years before becoming a foster parent.  Over the years, she has fostered many children in Fairfield and Hocking County area.  Peg has lived most of her life at her farm home on Westfall Rd. with her son Nick who survives.  She had a special place in her heart for all the animals and enjoyed the farm life.
In addition to her son, she is survived by a brother, Steven (Linda) Gardner of Lancaster; sisters, Cindy (Keith) Burge and Linda Gardner both of Colorado.  She is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation is being handled with care by the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.  A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
