Lori Gorby

Lori A. Gorby, age 57 of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at home. She was born April 1, 1966, in Columbus, the daughter of Jerry and Brenda (Wemer) VanGundy. She was a graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School, class of 1984. She had worked for Bob McDorman Chevrolet and Westerman's. Lori loved fishing, camping, swimming, and being outdoors. More than anything, she loved being an aunt and grandma.

She is survived by her mother, Brenda VanGundy, of Lancaster; son, Nick Gorby, of Lancaster; grandsons, Deegan and Salem Gorby; sister, Andrea Layne, of Lancaster; many nieces and cousins. She is preceded in death by her dad, Jerry VanGundy; son, Drew Goby; and brother, Jeremy VanGundy.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda with Danny VanGundy officiating. Interment will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
