Lois Boyd

Lois M. Boyd, age 79, of Amanda, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Pickering House. She was born March 7, 1946, in Parkersburg, WV, daughter of the late Bernard and Gladys (Champ) Bell. She had a strong faith in Jesus and loved to sing the old gospel songs. Lois enjoyed gardening and sewing, and most importantly, time spent with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Christopher (Kimberly) Boyd, of Ashland, John Michael (J'Nell) Boyd, of Plain City, and Brian Boyd, of Amanda; grandchildren, Kyle (Taylor), Matthew, Madeline, Ethan, Lucy, and Alexander; great granddaughter, Eleanor; sister, Christine Nixon; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; sisters, Shirlene Ridgeway and Charlotte Allen; brothers, Skipper and Joe Bell.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, 111 W. Main St., Amanda with Pastor Jeff Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment with her husband will take place at a later date at Amanda Township Cemetery.
