Linda L. Young

Linda L. Young, 69, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born March 18, 1952 in Orrville, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Charles and Jenny (North) Keplar. She was a founding member of God of All Ages Church, Lancaster. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister. She was an avid QVC shopper, loved to vacation and travel and spend time with her family and her church.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Young; children, Cindy Friend of Lancaster, Melissa (Mark) Shaffer of Amanda, John (Shauna) Stevens of Columbus, Johnetta (Matt) Herron of Brazoria, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer (Andy) Shonk, Billie Jo (Tommy) Turner, Jacinda (Frank) Ickes, John (Lindsey) Stevens, Marissa Friend, Ashley (Zach) Kinser, Sabrina Friend, Cassie (Ethan) Romine, Nikki (James) Black, Katie (Gage) Derefield, Blake Herron, Chris Shaffer, Alyssa Herron; great grandchildren, Faithlynn, Benny, Brantley, Taylor, Jack, Harper, Connor, Adi, Lelia, Amiah, Allyson, Jamisyn, Camden, Greyson, James Jr., Noah, Gunner, Case and two more on the way; sister, Rita Clemons of Wellston; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Stevens, sisters, Rose Storms and Mary Storms; brother, Chuck Keplar and her four legged “daughter” companion, Tippie.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at God of All Ages Church, 6133 Hopewell Church Rd. SW, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 with Pastor Shawn Herron officiating. Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. All visitations will be held at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to God of All Ages Church in Linda’s memory.

In accordance with State mandates, COVID Protocols including facial coverings and social distancing will be followed.
