Lee DeLong Jr., age 90 of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his home. He was born April 4, 1932, in Amanda, the son of the late Lee and Alice (Thress) DeLong Sr. Lee was a veteran of the US Army with three years of service in Korea. He retired from National Meter in Lancaster. He loved to fish and enjoyed his annual reunion trips to Kentucky. He was a life member of VFW Post #1380 as well as Faith Memorial Church.
He is survived by his children, Brenda Herron, of Amanda, Cheryl (Gerald) Picklesimer, Lee Ann (Robert) Wilson, Rhonda (Ted) Finnefrock, and Jeffrey DeLong, all of Lancaster, Dusty DeLong, of Sugar Grove, and Randy (Tammy) Kuhn, of Lancaster; fourteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Geneva Courtney, of Amanda; close friend, Bob Harris, of Amanda. He is preceded in death by his parents; spouses, Wanda (Kinser) DeLong and Nellie (Courtney) DeLong; brother, Gerald DeLong.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023 at Amanda Township Cemetery with Chaplain Dean Queen officiating.
