Karen Gearhart

Karen A, Gearhart, age 79, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in Columbus and she is now soaring with the eagles in a purple sky. She was born on December 19, 1944, in Youngstown, Ohio to Joseph and Dorothy (Ball) Gearhart. She was a former member of the DuBois Women's Bowling Association, D.A.R., and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling with her mother, and especially with the Bowling Association and the D.A.R. Karen also enjoyed researching family history.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Joan Southern, of Lancaster; sister-in-law, Connie Gearhart, of Broadview Heights, Ohio; twelve nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Charles Gearhart.

Cremation has been arranged in the care of Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. No formal services will be observed but a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Inurnment will also be held at a later date at Morningside Cemetery, DuBois, PA.
