JUNE ROSE MILLER, age 95 of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the Pickering House. Aunt June has reunited with the loves of her life...

Born JUNE ROSE CARROLL to Claude and Ruth (Kane) Carroll on June 16th, 1929 in Rockbridge, Ohio. June married Leonard Yantes on January 1st, 1952 until he passed in August of 1991. She then met and soon married Walter Miller, on March 9th, 1994, whom she said was the true love of her life. She loved them both, but there was a difference. She lost him May 17th, 2021.

June was the last living child of 14 kids. She was number 9 out of the 14, 9 boys and 5 girls. She was raised on the old Carroll farm in Buena Vista, and was a farmer for 33 yrs on Stonewall Cemetery Rd. in Lancaster.

She is survived by too many nieces and nephews to count. The closest nieces and nephews....being Steve and Julie Barnett Feiler, Gregg and Dawn Warthman, Bill and Robin Gambill, Mike Boals and Susan Carroll. Very special great niece and nephew, Justin and Ashley McFadden and sister in law, Janet Carroll, of Kingston. Very close and special friends Linda Bruno, and Pastor John Davidson. She was also survived by 2 step children Steven Miller, and Susan (Fred) Lamb.

Per her wishes, she wanted a private graveside service, which has already taken place. Her final resting place is at Maple Grove Cemetery beside her first husband, Leonard. Any contributions can be made to Fairhope hospice or to Bethany Cemetery.
