Johnny Meadows

John "Johnny" Meadows, age 72, of Lancaster passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Apple Grove, WV on February 4, 1950, son of the late Harold and Martha (Haley) Meadows. Johnny worked for Anchor Hocking Plant 2 for 19 years. He then started M & M Home Improvement in 1987 which developed into a complete home construction company. He loved farming, hunting, time spent with his family, and watching Ohio State Football. He was active in church and enjoyed volunteering wherever he could.

He is survived by his wife of almost 54 years, Dorothy; children, Lisa (Arley) Moss, of Lancaster, Chad (Bianca) Meadows, of Lancaster, and Jenny (Ned) Phillips, of Amanda; grandchildren, Hayley (John) Fox, Christian and Zachary Meadows, and Taylor and Jules Phillips; great grandchildren, Brilynn and Logan Moss; siblings, Dale (Gayle) Christy, Libby Gleba, Betty (John) Coe, Phyllis (Duane) Starr, Lawrence Meadows, Mitchell (Pam) Meadows, Donald (Gerra) Meadows, and Sherry (Jake) Friend; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Arley "Mikey" Moss; siblings, Ada Louise Miller, Lee Christy, and Gene Christy.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the New Hope Assembly of God, 2020 Cincinnati-Zanesville Rd., Lancaster with Pastor Gerald Mershimer officiating. Interment will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
