John J. "Ike" Icenhour, age 76, of Circleville, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 15, 1947, in Bellaire, OH, to the late Dale and Adelaide (Truax) Icenhour. He was a graduate of Bellaire High School, class of 1965. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. After his time in the Army, Ike gained employment at DuPont in Circleville, retiring in 2009 with 41 years of service. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #134, where he was a Past Commander, 20 year officer, and 50 year member. Ike was also a life member of the Circleville AMVETS Post #2256. He was a Master Mason of the Pickaway Lodge #23, F. & A.M., Circleville, Ohio. He had coached Little League Baseball at Pickaway Twp. Elementary School and Pee Wee Football in Circleville for several years.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Janice (Klee) Icenhour; sons, Jeff (Tammy) Icenhour, of Stoutsville, and Joe Icenhour, of Dilworth, MN; beloved grandchildren, Gabriel, Austin, and Addison; Furever friends, Mandi, Molly, and Twiggy.
At his request, cremation has been arranged in the care of Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. A private celebration of life will be held by his family at a later date.
Ike's family would like to sincerely thank OhioHealth Berger Hospice, Berger Hospital, Dr. Paul and the staff of the Bradley Cancer Center.
