John "JC" Cox

John E. “JC” Cox, age 69, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born September 17, 1947 in Nelsonville, OH to the late Myron and Pauline (Forbes) Cox. John was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Navy as Hospital Corpsman. He was in the automobile industry for years as a car salesman, and later working for Columbus Auto Auction.
John is survived by his two brothers, Thomas (Jean) Cox, and James Cox both of Lancaster; uncles, Bill Forbes of Carbon Hill, and Dallas (Barb) Forbes of Columbus; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Karla Knapp, Katie Knapp, and Tim Rutherford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eldon Cox.
A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.
