Hubert Dalton, 70, of Amanda, passed away peacefully at the Pickering House on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. He was born on December 3, 1944 in Inez, Kentucky and was the son of the late Delbert Rufus and Ann (Bowen) Dalton. Hubert was proud to serve in the U.S. Army. He was retired from General Motors in Columbus, belonged to the UAW #969 and was a member of Inez Freewill Baptist Church.
Hubert was survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda (Bailey) Dalton; daughters, Kathy Ann (Scott) Gobel of Stoutsville, Deborah Lynn (Barry) Sowers of Williamsport and Linda Kay (David) Johnson of Stoutsville; grandchildren, Troy Dean (Sara) Busch Jr., Corey Allen Johnson, Caitlynn Nicole Whitten, Makayla Linn Johnson and Tyler Scott Gobel; 2 great grandchildren, Troy Dean Busch III and Lainey Deanne Busch; brothers, Paul (Helen) Dalton of Florida, Daryl (Winnie) Dalton of Mansfield and Delbert Dalton Jr. of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Debbie (Horn) Dalton
Cremation has been handled with care by the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
