Hazel M. Henderly

Hazel M. Henderly, age 93 of Amanda, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at her home. She was born August 18, 1929, in Fairfield County, the daughter of the late Herman F. and Iva M. (Webb) Sterling. She was a longtime member of the Amanda Presbyterian Church. After 22 years wintering in Florida, she became a shuffleboard pro. She loved her family dearly.

She is survived by her husband of almost 72 years, Wendell G. Henderly; children, Max E. (Billye) Henderly, of Cleveland, GA, Rita (Bill) Francis, of Amanda, and Margaret (Mike) Thomas, of Beattyville, KY; grandchildren, Malinda (Larry) Sullivan, Angie (Craig) Bolin, Wendy (Tom) Booth, Mark (Megan) Francis, and Stuart Henderly; 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harry, Floyd, Donald, Richard Lee, and Carl Sterling; sisters, Adeline Wolshire, Viola Byers, and Emma Herron.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda with Rev. Julian Taggart and Liz Tietz officiating. Interment will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
