Harold W. “ Gundy†VanGundy, age 60 of Lancaster, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born March 27, 1955 in Amanda, Ohio to Herbert and Aileen (Bowersock) VanGundy. He retired from Southeast Correctional Facility with over 15 years of service. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Andy (Mariangela) VanGundy, Troy VanGundy, and Stephanie Fox Schwader; grandchildren, Gage, Meghan, Bradon, Emmitt, Shania, Kassie, Cody, Molly; great grandchildren, Layla and Weston; brother, Herb (Sis) VanGundy; sisters, Ginny (Winsell) Murphy, Rose (Jack) Sammons, Deb (Butch) Hart, and Loretta (Tom) Hill, step-children; Misty Smith and Jennifer (Scott) VanCuren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Eugene VanGundy.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda, with cremation to follow.
