George “Joe” Russell, age 72 of Stoutsville, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at home. He was born March 23, 1952, in Chillicothe, the son of George and Beverly (Tucker) Russell. He was a graduate of Logan Elm High School, class of 1972. He was a “Golden” member of the Circleville Eagles Lodge #685 and the Vintage Iron Rod and Custom Club. He was a life-long farmer in the Stoutsville area and he also drove a tanker truck for Circleville Oil for 20 years. Joe loved old cars and green tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Pam (Crook) Russell; daughter, Mary Beth (Chris Radabaugh) Russell, of Laurelville; son, George Jason Russell, of Circleville; step-children, Mona (Scott) Allen, of Circleville, Billy (Kim) Martin, of Circleville, and Tammy (Jeff) Icenhour, of Stoutsville; grandchildren, Seth Graves, Shawna and Alexis Stevenson, Desiree Jo and Alexandria Copeland, Br. Charbel Allen, Michelle and Makayla Martin, and Austin and Addison Icenhour; great grandson, Kamdyn Graves; brothers, Jeffrey (Connie) Russell, of Stoutsville and Robert (Barb) Russell, of Circleville; nephews, Eddie, Conner, and Kyle (Jennifer) Russell; special friend and helper on the farm for many years, William (Sky) Majors. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda, with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
