George Likens, Sr.
BECKLEY, WV: George W. Likens, Sr., 87, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, February, 4, 2016 in Beckley, WV. He was born January 7, 1929 in Huntington, WV and was the son of the late John and Pauline Likens. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and a member of the International Local 1275.
He is survived by two sons, Guy (Penny) Likens of Lancaster and Karl (Twila) Likens of Laurelville; three daughters, Della (Charles) Campbell and Pauline (Mike) Pinkstock both of Lancaster, Doris (Randy) Hartshorn of Somerset; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister, Beatrice "Polly" Gibson of Danese, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Likens; son, George W. Likens, Jr. and a daughter, Mary Chaffin.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda. A grave side service will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
