Frederick Smith

Frederick J. Smith, age 86, of Canal Winchester, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at his home. He was born in Portsmouth, OH to George and Garnett (Reeder) Smith on October 20, 1938. He was a graduate of South High School in Columbus, class of 1958. He served in the Army where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He enjoyed his weekly visits to the Canal Winchester Senior Center. He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed golfing in his younger years.

He is survived by his children, Robert (Shelly) Good, of Georgia, Beth (Gary) DeMarco, of Florida, and Michael Good, of Missouri; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother, Keith Smith, of Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret "Pat" (Hanley) Smith; daughter, Kathy Roberts.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Interment with military honors will follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
