Rick Berens

Rick Berens, age 77, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. He was born on November 10, 1946, in Lancaster, to Charles and Helen (Rhoads) Berens. He was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School, class of 1964 and then enlisted in the US Air Force where he served in Korea. He was a member of the Fairfield County Antique Tractor Club. Rick was a life-long farmer.

He is survived by his wife of 57, Kay (Stalder); son, Jeff (Jennifer Ward) Berens, of Amanda; granddaughter, Ava; sister, Pat Berens, of Lancaster; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mark Berens.

A time for family and friends to gather will be from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Amanda Township Cemetery. At his request, cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to any charity of the donor's choice.
