Elizabeth Borgan

Elizabeth Borgan, age 58 of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 1, 2023. She was born September 1, 1964, in Columbus, the daughter of James and Joyce (Reynolds) Russell. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School. Liz worked for the Board of Elections in Lancaster for 14 years. She really enjoyed helping people exercise their right to vote. Sewing, cooking, baking desserts, crafts, and gardening were her past times. Every pie was the best; taking her secret pie recipe with her.

Liz is survived by her mother, Joyce (Robert Harvey) Russell; children, Sarah, James, and Alex Borgan, all of Lancaster; sister, Terri Russell, of Columbus; brothers, James Russell Jr., of Columbus, and Eric (Kim) Russell, of Lancaster; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father and her husband of 27 years, Dean Borgan.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, June 12, 2023, at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, 1596 George Rd NE, Lancaster, OH. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the church.
